Top Five Greatest Orbital Tracks Of All Time!!!

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

This MAY change for some once Wonky is released (it may not).
For me, this is always in flux. But here goes:

1 - P.E.T.R.O.L [wipeout Version]
2 - Remind
3 - Attached
4 - T.G.W.T.S.I.H.H
5 - Know Where To Run

Very difficult this one...

Halcyon
Way Out
Are We Here? (What Was That?) version
Walk Now
Oolaa

honourable mentions...

Philosophy By Numbers
Planet Of The Shapes
Technologicque Park
Forever
An Fhomhair

I know that's technically 10 but those top 5 are my favs. And I am eagerly waiting to see if anything from the new album will make it into the top ten or even better the top five!!! From Loopz's review I am getting excited about Distractions/Stringy Acid/Where Is It Going?.

if you place a gun to my head, i will not be able to choose just 5 :) but top 12-15 should be possible.. ;)

The Girl With The Sun In Her Head
What Was That?
Semi-Detached
The Box (sorry, cant choose one, so its all the versions from ep and In Sides together..)
Lush3/Impact/Remind (cant choose which one, coz all of them are just splendid and i like them as an unbreakable, unseparatible trio on the Brown Album)
Dwr Budr
Out There Somewhere?
Desert Storm
Halcyon+On+On (thx to that track on Mortal Kombat soundtrack in 1995 i got wholy into Orbital and they placed The Prodigy from my throne of favorites :) )
Forever
Kein Trink Wasser
Spare Parts Express

Wonky maybe not so much now but most certainly Where Is It Going needs a longer ending to breakdown the tune and finish it. It's too epic to just "stop" like that.

It's a tough ask, but:

The Girl With The Sun In Her Head (really hoping to hear this live on the next tour)
Impact (especially the USA version)
Out There Somewhere (FANTASTIC opener from the 2009 tour - you could feel it rattling the floor in Manchester!)
One Perfect Sunrise (Somehow really melancholy AND really euphoric! Great way to say goodbye... But so glad they came back!)
Times Fly (At the time, this seemed like a nice bridge between Snivillisation and In Sides - I love The Tranquilizer too)

Lush and Remind wouldn't be far behind - that whole section from the Brown Album's just mind blowing!

Pre-Wonky, in no order, I think I'll go with:

Dwr Budr
The Box (28 minute version)
Meltdown
Belfast

I do know what you mean :)
Dwr Budr
The Box (28 minute version)
Meltdown
Belfast
I Don't Know You People
I Don't Know You People may not be in my top 5, but recently I've started listening to this alot again. It's a belter! And would be in my top ten.

As for Albums. At The moment I would put them in this order:

1 - Insides
2 - Snivilisation
3 - Brown Album
4 - Wonky
5 - The Middle Of Nowhere
6 - The Green Album
7 - The Altogether
8 - Blue Album
