enter the void.

fuck me.... what an intense experience. go see it, seriously.
shot from the first-person perspective of a guy who was killed in a drug bust, whilst tripping, and his consequent astral projection around the people he knew, mixed with flashbacks of his life. non-stop psychedelic visuals, like nothing you've seen before. gratuitous, extreme, nearly overwhelming, not always enjoyable, but well worth experiencing.
dance your cares away, worries for another day

Cant believe this thread has layed dormant for over a year!

Drive - I loved it, I can see how many might not. Hard to explain, but it doesnt have much to do about driving at all. Definately the type of film to have a massive cult following.

Event Horizon - I hate to say it, but it hasnt aged as well as I had hoped it would.

Animal Kingdom - Great film, but not an easy watch.

Yes I saw it twice. Went to the Australian premiere and then a week later took my 13 yr old step son Philip to see it and we ended up dancing in the aisles together. Was a fantastic moment.

It's a brilliant film, very well shot and well done. It's very hard to capture an electronic music concert and it's energy but the way this film was shot (with crowd reactions and excursions into the festival site itself) makes the whole thing gel so well. This is also the best Chemical Brothers show I've ever seen (saw the set in Sydney in 2011 and I've got a bootleg video I'm working on of it at the minute) and no wonder this inspired Phil & Paul to get back into playing live.

You should definitely check it out when it comes out on Blu-Ray and DVD/CD on March 26th (limited 10" book edition DVD/CD on April 10th).

Sherlock Holmes 2. Enjoyable enough. Much prefer the new BBC version.

Cool, I will be purchasing that too, I didnt realise it was a show that was recorded.
I was under the impression it was more than that.

I thought it was a "film" film... with a plot and actors in it!

I saw "Hanna" the other week and I liked what the Chems did for that.

There was one girl who they used as a focus (she wasn't an actress) and then told the rest of the audience the cameras were focusing on to pretend the cameras weren't there and then they got there real reactions to the music and the visuals. It really is a great film. Some funny reactions to the Acid Children clowns etc...

Leftfield are releasing their Tourism Live album cd/dvd this week over here too. (was recorded in Australia last year). A great week for music. :-)
