Tempting!
"You know, just simple lines intertwining, you know, very much like - I'm really influenced by Mozart and Bach, and it's sort of in between those, really. It's like a Mach piece, really"
Nigel Tufnel talking about his song "Lick My Love Pump" - This Is Spinal Tap.

latest bloom emailer update

Howdy Bloomers,

With only two and a half weeks till our festival we are blooming busy getting all of the last bits and bobs organised, and despite all of this horrible weather we've had lately, we do have some fab news to convey regarding Bloom:

1 :: FLOODLESS WONDER
We are pleased to let you know that our festival site has not been affected by the recent floods. The land we are using is situated on relatively high ground which drops away quite steeply at two sides. This means that any excess water soaks away quickly leaving no unexpected puddles, lakes or rivers where there should be big top tents and stages. We could certainly do with some sunshine so that the ground gets a chance to dry out, but other than that you'll be pleased to know it's looking fine and dandy!

2 :: 24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE
We had a license for Bloom from the very start but recently applied for a special 24 hour extension, and are very pleased to announce that it has been granted. This means that we can run some of the smaller music stages into the wee hours of the night and will have a 24 hour chillout/cafe area which will be accessible throughout the event. We are really pleased about this and feel it will make the whole event a much more pleasurable experience for us all.

3 :: WIN FREE WEEKEND TICKETS
To celebrate our extended operating times we are giving away 25 pairs of tickets exclusively to our mailing list. All you have to do to win is email competition@bloomfestival.com with "COME ON SUNSHINE" in the subject header as soon as you read this email to be in with a chance. Even if you have already bought tickets you can still apply so hit us back and come to Bloom for FREE!!

4 :: RECORD BREAKERS
On Saturday 11th August, Bloom Festival goers are invited to participate in an official Guinness World Record attempt. Hosted by the Thumbs Aloft DJs on the Main Stage, Bloomers will help to rewrite the history books by taking part in the world’s biggest game of Musical Statues EVER. The record currently stands at 260 so we think that we're in with a good chance of smashing it!! Look out for details in the festival programme "if you want to be a record breaker".

5 :: GODZILLA Vs KING KONG
Don't forget that Saturday is the official fancy dress day - do you know what you're going as yet?? There's only a couple more weeks to decide on your costume, so get it hired and join in the fun!

6 :: TANGERINE FIELDS
If you can't be bothered to lug your camping gear with you to the festival only to realise that you left the tent pegs at home, then why not let Tangerine Fields help. They will set up a brand spanking new tent for you which comes equipped with sleeping bags, airbeds and a variety of camping accessories. Head to http://www.tangerinefields.co.uk and check out the ranges available and book online in advance. This really is the easiest way to slum it in style!

7 :: FRESH WEBBY
The more eagle eyed of you will have noticed that we have just launched a new look website. It took a little longer than expected to get up, but it looks top and does the trick nicely. We have been adding various bits to it over the last few weeks so have a look and see what you think. We've also got the forum working again and it's starting to come to life, so come and waste some office time chatting with other Bloomers.

8 :: TICKETS
Day tickets are available for £35.00 alongside full weekend tickets and kids tickets. Day tickets are available exclusively through the Bloom website, whilst you can pick up Adult Weekend Tickets at the following ticket outlets:

LONDON: Phonica Records, 51 Poland Street, Soho. 020 7025 6070
BRISTOL: Bristol Ticket Shop, The Galleries, Bristol. 0870 444 400
BATH: Drop Records, 27 Broad Street. 01225 444 577
CARDIFF: Catapult Records, 22 High Street Arcade. 029 2022 8990

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Phew, are you still with us?

Well, we're really looking forward to this year's event and hope that those of you who are joining us are just as excited. The line up is looking really fat and juicy and the long range weather forecast is looking promising, so here's to a cracking Bloom 2007!!

See you at Dyrham Park,

Love The Bloom Team xxx

Howdy Bloomers,

Today is the last day for us at Bloom HQ before we pack up our things and head off to Dyrham Park for the site build. This means that we will be offline for a few days whilst we get our on site office and communications up and running, but we should be back online by Monday afternoon.

In the mean time here's a few bits of info:

1 :: SITE MAP
Please find attached the site map below which gives you the general layout of the festival. You will notice that the Lost Disco does not appear on the map - that's because you have to find it when you get to site ;) Please feel free to forward this around to other Bloomers who might not be on our mailing list:

2 :: TICKETS
All tickets bought through the Bloom Festival website have been sent out in the post. We are aware that there have been some postal strikes recently and thus tickets bought recently may take a a bit longer than anticipated to reach you, but rest assured they are on their way.

G TICKETS
The ticket shop on the Bloom Website will close down as of Monday next week, however you will still be able to purchase tickets online via G Tickets. There will be a link from the Bloom website to our shop on G Tickets so you will still be able to purchase right up until Friday of next week.

TIXMOB
Late tickets can also be purchase using the very latest in mobile ticketing technology via Tixmob. We also have a link on the Bloom Website to a shop on Tixmob where you can purchase tickets which are texted direct to your mobile phone. This technology is the future of event ticketing so have go and be one of the first people to gain entry to a festival by having your phone scanned!

Any problems then please call the Bloom helpline on 08450 369 832 (this number will only be in operation from Tuesday 7th August)
