It's about time we had someone in the lines of a World class sportsman to be proud of in GB , I agree I am starting to get pretty with the dried up hope that is World cup football.

Congrats to our first Bro formula1 winner.

Wins 6th GP.
Will be world champion at some point.

Maybe we could have the press concentrate on something other than football for a while as we're soaring high in a world class sport for a change!
He'll be champion this year. Alonso is pissed off. Pity ;)

Its about time this country has a black role model that young black kids can look up to, instead of some american rapper twat or a footballer for a change.

Alsonso had a face like a slapped arse in the telegraph today.

Why just young black kids? Why can't white kids have him as a role model too?

Well yes, of course they can, its not exclusive to anyone, but there are more positive white role models in this country than black.
I feel a section of our society is in need of positive role models, especially as they might feel that they can identify with that person easier.
I'd rather some kid on a shitty south London estate will look up to Lewis and aspire to be as successful as him, instead of wanting to be a rapper/pimp/twat or whatever like 50 cent.

Cheese I'm dissapointed in you, it's SARF of Sutton you oaf!

ADD Basscadet, Romans is a good little playground - I try to drop a few bob on them at least once a month, but it's becoming a bit of a bore as they don't seem to stock F1 cars that often, & the Veyron is pig ugly.

We all have our cross to bear I suppose.
Let's face it, if I didn't exist - you'd pay someone to have me invented.

I see .

Yes that would be a slightly closer mad mile to Romans , My cousin and I have psased there recently.

Your ok so long as you dont get your car crushed , the Peelers on the A217 have been rumoured porsche's and heave ho's .

* shakes head *

No I was thinking the mad mile between Kent gate way ( sparrows Den )to Addington village , but like I said it's not so mad as it used to be.

Mucus I think you will find thats Saaf not SARF , as in Saafend

Says the bloke whose back box fell off his Mini a whole 30 yards from his house after he'd just put it on!

I'd like to think of my little stint of sitting on the verge of the 217 today as a shake down test, where i managed to shake the pipe off the intercooler!

How did you manage that? Have you taken it off recently and loosened it or something?!

Meant to ask, did you make it to Jap fest this year or did it coincide with the addition to the family?

the mad mile aint what it used to be :( i remember the good old days when it would always involve going as fast as you possibly could before standing on the brakes at the belmont roundabout. and the sheer delight of reaching 90mph in my automatic renault 12! now there's always two dithering twats doing exactly the same speed next to eachother in  both lanes

I put a bigger intercooler on and the new hoses supplied with it weren't that good. That coupled with me not doing the clips up tight enough resulted in my short stay on the verge! Didn't make Jap fest and probably wont make Coombe for the Rally day either. Will hopefully be doing them next year.
