Help/advice needed - camera phones

Post by Dollydagger »

I know how you guys are experts and are always ready to help and please.. :D

So here's the spec:

I want to get my eldest son a camera phone. (He's 13)

*I don't want a state-of-the-art or flashy one as it'll get nicked

*Don't really need any other features on it apart from a camera - he has an MP3 player and I don't want him 'surfin the net' on it

*needs to be PAYG but don't mind what network

*Preferably a Nokia but open to suggestions

*Don't mind if it's not brand new, ie: can get them on Ebay

*Looking to pay about £60

Any suggestions ???

:D

Unfortunately I have given my old sony ericsson to my Mum when i got my contract upgrade a few months ago or you could have had that one...So I'd say go for the phone which has the best camera (i.e. most mega pixels) Ones with low megapixels tend to take really crappy pictures and his "artwork" wont come out very well in a photo!

Also this one is a great one as they have really good cameras, this one has 2 megapixels which is very good for the price.

Jane is this the same son that adds all your mates to his myspace ??

I'd say no to mobile phonecam and buy him one of these

with one of these strapped to it

I'd also block him from using your loopzorbital account to post on here canvassing for b'day pressy gifts off your mates

on the flip side you can't beat the SonyErricsons for battery or quality stakes
T610 is still a vallid, my head woulda fallen off at 13 if i had one of them

LMAO Kelv!!!!

Yes it is 'Ze Jam' who adds all of you lovely people on myspace so that it looks like he's got loads of friends...

:roll

Thanks for all the tips guys. Willsy, think your 2 are a bit too high spec for him but that play.com has got loads of good deals so I'll probably get something from there :)

Oi!!! :P

I didn't mean it in that way cheeky, I mean it's too flashy and will get nicked. I know he'd be able to operate it he just seems to look at gadgets and knows how to work them
