Belfast Wasted Promo CD Question

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Belfast Wasted Promo CD Question

Post by powerstone05 »

This site: http://www.discogs.com/release/96109 says the Belfast/Wasted Promo contains 2 edits the radio edit, and the oral fade. However, it says the radio edit is not on the tracklist. Mine, however seems like it does not. It only has 1 track. I tried looking for a bonus track but can't find it. Does anyone know if I own a copy which doesn't have it on their or is it somewhere else on the CD?

Hmmn, thats a new one on me. I've got one of the promo cds and it only has one track on it and it has all the same details as this guy's one. Strange. Never heard of that 4.41 edit before, and weird that if it is on the CD it doesn't appear listed on the CD.

Anyone else shed any more light at all?

Nick it says you own one of them. Could you check if it's the 1 track or 2 track promo?

I believe so - i.e. 2 tracks, but I can't check until tomorrow afternoon... I believe that the one I've got also has the Therapy track as well?

Yup, the one I have "Oral fade", is also a promo.

Luckily (and I had a brainwave - doesn't happen that often nowadays! :P ), I do have my iPod up here in the midlands, which I had transferred the aforementioned promo to.

And, yup, it has the two edits on it: Wasted Vocal (Edit), and the Radio 'Oral' Fade... I *think* that I also have a 3rd CD single, but that *may* have the same tracklisting as this one! :P

It's the second one in this picture here, I believe, although the covers look identical! :)

My copy of VOLCDJ1 only has 1 track.

Promo sticker blurb on the back of the CD says "In your hands is the radio edit. Full version is also available with an exclusive Therapy? track on the B side."

Perhaps there are 2 flavours of VOLCDJ1 or Discogs is wrong.

Sid x

PS - Great video, shame its not in the public domain anymore.

Sidney - long time, no see! :D

Yes, it would appear that there are two different versions - just got back home and checked my copy - it has two tracks only, and is exactly as described on discogs, so I need to go and find the other copy of VOLCDJ1 now...

Yes, the video is excellent - your local haunt! :P
