Wins

Post by Mucus »

2 weeks ago, at the age of 41, I had my first ever decent "win" (a holiday to Venice in a radio competition). Prior to that, the only thing I had ever won was a bottle of gripe water in a raffle!

That got me to thinking... what's the best/worst thing you've ever won? Properly won that is; free, gratis etc.
Let's face it, if I didn't exist - you'd pay someone to have me invented.

I won a 4-player arcade machine! Never had the room for it tho, so it's lived in my friends swish appartment. I never even played it yet... :(

Actually when i was a wee kid I won tickets to a play with the guy from Rentaghost in it - Mr Claypole. I met him afterwards but was too starstruck to say anything and just hid behind my mum!

I won some Orbital tickets from this very website a long long time ago.
I've won quite a bit at bingo, put it this way, won a lot more than I've put in.
And I also won a framed picture of my general manager at an xmas do about 2 years ago.
It was a booby prize, but after it went up on the pub dartboard it was a big improvement.
You look real great.

Best thing i ever won were 2 sets of tickets for Orbital's Radio 1 Evening Session gig on Lamacq in 2001. That was such a good night.

Plus i won a signed copy of the Blue Album from Recordstore.co.uk whilst i was over for the last gigs.

The only thing that immediately springs to mind is a free ticket to see Mylo at the O2 Wireless gig via his website (I was probably the only person to enter)!
