I've got Magnolia lined up for tonight and no: I do not have a thing for Scientology dwarfs

Chagrin - great word, wish I knew what one was...

Watched Clerks II last night.

Oh dear. After J&SBSB and Jersey Girl, I thought I'd give him a last chance. And he blew it. Ridiculous story line, stupid scenes (gokarts and dancing scenes??) and gratuitous bestiality (sorry, 'inter-species erotica' - only funny bit!) it just stank of someone trying too hard.

Sorry, but for me he's never topped the wonderful 'Chasing Amy' and it looks like he never will...shame.

However, Steve, with your fondness for Rosario Dawson, you really need to see the rooftop dancing scene and all the er...'jiggling' that entails....

I'm still going to have to get 'Clerks II' but this was the review I was waiting for... It's confirmed my suspicions from the trailer that Kevin Smith was indeed 'trying' to be funny, rather than letting it happen with the other films... I've not seen 'Jersey Girl' so can't comment on that and personally I found 'J&SBSB' very funny indeed, but he'll have to go a long way to beat the likes of 'Mallrats', 'Clerks' and 'Chasing Amy'.

Really interesting movie, but without subtitles most of it went one ear in, one out.

weird weird story.
