Orbital on Eurovision contest

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Yes, it was The Saint...I can't believe I spent my Saturday night watching that. Still, Wogan was on form as usual, just ripping the piss!

(to random judge) "...you look very menacing!"

You a Eurovision virgin Aimee?

It's like getting off with someone when you're pissed - seems like a good idea at the time, but you hate yourself in the morning.
Slugs! HE created slugs! They can't hear. They can't speak. They can't operate machinery. Are we not in the hands of a lunatic?

XFM have been going on about supporting Lordi for weeks, they've even had them on the breakfast show.
Apparently now Chris Moyles @ Radio 1 is getting on the bandwagon too

Yeah the Finnish newspapers mentioned about that too. :) It's nice to see them win, since they were the only act that was even slightly different from the mass. :D First time ever that I've been even remotely interested in the contest was when I heard they were gonna participate... Here's hoping that Lordi's victory will bring even more "alternative" (not as in the genre) acts to the competition, and we'll see IDM in there some day. ;)

Gotta say also that the night in town that I mentioned in my earlier drunken post was pretty fun with everyone there going bonkers about Lordi winning, but these days the whole phenomenon is getting highly irritating, as the band is still the only thing that the papers will talk about and that song is blasting everyhere nonstop.

That would indeed rule. :) Plus they might even have a chance of winning too...
