Went with Dave Mac and a coulple of mates and danced the nite away to Stereo 8 who played 3-4 plump DJ tracks from the past album and a load more top breaks along witht he premiere of a new track from them which is being cut in a few weeks.
Saw Phil at the bar so I had a quick chat.
brighton festivals Stories in Motion Words, sound and vision. event sounds really interesting and experiental an he is looking forward to it.
The Longrange album should be out for the end of the year as well. more studio time June July.
He played a fantastic 2 hour set and started off with some old skool 80s like grand master flash and others then worked his way over the 1st hour to more modern stuff playing some cracking old skool tunes.
then did about an hour or so of modern breaks and a lil bit of Drum n bass finishing with chime.
Stunning set and very much improved since I first saw him DJ top nite out shame the club was so damn small and hot and it was on a tues nite its 4:30 am and I have to be at work at 10 !!
