Bit miffed as i pre-ordered via the gig ticket + album bundle. Presumably that album is the one disc version. Nevermind, it's not as through live versions of x, y & z are thin on the ground.

There is some confusion over that. Loopz did say it was being looked at but no info has yet been forthcoming.

Yeah, I pre-ordered back in November too (back then April seemed ages off, but it's soon coming round!) I emailed Crowd Surge a few weeks back, and they 'think' it's the standard, one disc version. Bit of a shame as I would have bought the double if I'd known there was going to be a special edition. Still, I'll probably just go to HMV on the release date and see if they have the 2CD version.

I'd quite like to hear some official up-to-date live recordings.

I don't know what version will I buy. I think I will buy the standard first, but if the 2-disc has a special packiging, I'll buy it too. Anyway, I don't care about live versions, just when they are enough new, updated versions.

But the Japanese editions (both normal 1 disc and 2 disc) have a bonus track P.E.T.R.O.L. (Final Drop Mix) . Which is looking like maybe the only place you will be able to hear it if Sony Playstation don't make a Wipeout 2048 soundtrack album.

Yeah it's expensive but good. Plus HMV Japan always delivers really fast to Australia. Really good service.

I remember this coming up in conversation years ago and if I recall correctly there is a belief that the ordinary stuff wouldn't sell without extras. Whether this is true or not is now moot as it has become a self-fufilling prophecy. They always get the bonus stuff because they have always got the bonus stuff. For the same reason alot of U.S. editions of European stuff have bonus discs.
