The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Have to be honest and say i was generally disappointed with the lack of releases this year that got my juices going, so much so that i am actually struggling to pick anything in particular. Since geting my ipod way back in Feb 06 i have been mostly listening to older albums and back cat stuff.

I am however looking forward to the new Nine Inch Nails stuff, new Goldfrapp album, Amon Tobin and hopefully a Plumps studio album.

Shitloads of stuff... Far too much to list here. Fave track of the year is Plump DJs - Electric Disco (D Ramirez remix)

Do you mean you liked half of it or that it was by half of Plaid? I saw this in NYC and was tempted to buy it but thought I'd heard negative things about it on here...?

2006 was a bit of a let down, music wise for me. But I have been getting into older stuff more (Beatles, Stones etc).

As for stuff released in 06...

Beatles - Love
PSB - Fundamental (grew on me)
Bent - Intercept!
Flying White Dots - Staring At The Sky

And to be honest, that's about it!

I got loads of great tunes last year. Not many albums, to be honest, but there were lots of quality tracks released. Will have to go through them and put together a list at some point.

Sure, no problem - here's the discog link

Best place to discover what their music sounds like is on their Myspace page here - fun is how I'd describe it! :)
