New Emmet track up for download on Myspace

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

New Emmet track up for download on Myspace

Post by Emmet »

its called Shout

http://www.myspace.com/emmetonline

the demo version sort of sounded like Devo doing electro breaks but we've dirtied it up a lot since then.

more new tracks will be uploaded over the coming weeks as we lead up to the release of our next long player :D

we're always trying to do something thats a little bit different to what we've done previously. Having three people who write the tunes helps in that respect .

Here It Goes is going to be the next track we're going to be stickin up and its nice and dark. And gooey :D

time for another new one, this is Cov 1, again I'm terrible at genres however this is an atmospheric housey sort of affair. There's no vocals and there's a slow build but that's all intentional. Its still processing on Myspace so here it is at a much higher bitrate

I'm hoping the peeps on here will like this.

everyone wants more Hotpots. :D Our progress is somewhat hampered by the fact that our singer lives now lives two and a half hours away and we only ever see him when we have an Emmet gig.

Rest assured, there should be a new Hotpots track out next week with the album hopefully released on iTunes etc (on our own label) at the end of March or thereabouts.

Liked the samples well enough to order a cd. :)

Hi Emmet, Tried to listen to your tunes on your myspace page but you have so much on your page with vids and tuneage etc it took an age to load up properly...after a few mins i gave up!

I have a fairly large broadband speed but i would say the majority of people with a small (say 2mb speed) are going to really struggle. You might want to simplify your page a bit.

Will try again tonight bud. :D

Odd, the track started playing after a few seconds on my computer. I have a 20mbit connection, though...

its not as uptodate as the Myspace but I do what I can!
