Recommendation -> Human Workshop

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Question: Orbital

Recommendation -> Human Workshop

Found out about these Dutch artists from the Cliq-hop station on somafm.com (nice station all around). They had the first release from the label which is a compo of the three artists on the fledgling label, BASIC, Remus, and Leisure-B. The first two also have albums out and all three releases are fucking fantastic!

Their style is somewhat Ninjatunes-y in the ethnic-sampling overdose vein, but these kids do it with superb style and talent and they are very skillfull songcrafters. BASIC tends to be more dancey while Remus is a cinematic sucker and Leisure-B pours on the dirty funk.

In addition to their greatness, their website http://www.humanworkshop.com is fantastic, has a nice forum (especially if you speak dutch) and they have samples up of all of the music, as well as many downloadable songs and source samples, all for free. I highly recommend buying the bundle of the three releases, I've got mine right here and they're amazing. Great guys too, they deserve the support.

Ok, that's enough brown-nosing, go listen![/url]
