Phil Hartnoll @ The Glade

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Phil Hartnoll @ The Glade

Played a cracking set including 4 Orbital tracks (Impact, Satan Dr.Who and Chime) and the crowd loved it :) I'm glad he's still dropping in the Orbital stuff, giving the punters what they want! saw a good turnout of orbital t shirts at the festie, also noticed a huge amounty of Aphex Twin shirts too.

I'm scared of my Aphex Twin tshirt... Not worn it since the 'incident'.

Thats a slight understatement. I am mentally scarred from that night.

BTW, bringing this back on topic for a sec, if anyone spots the DJ set online at NSB, give me a shout ;)

Phil was superb. Shouts also for:

Plump DJs
Evil Nine
James Lavelle (especially a banging track with the vocal from Rocket Man)
Nick Warren
Kevin Saunderson (fantastic, included Big Fun and Good Life)
A Guy Called Gerald (yes, he did Voodoo Ray)

and many others, for some reason I can't remember all of it...

Annie Nightingale
Altern8 (did a BRILLIANT remix of Chime - or was that someone else?)

Ben Watkins (of Juno Reactor) and Hybrid supposedly had amazing sets as well.

what hybrid played sounded fantastic to me (over the radio), but they chucked it in after half an hour because of sound problems their end. massive shame, has caused a bit of a stir - fair enough if they really had no choice but it could have been handled better - whoever it was who announced on the mic that they were stopping really didn't put it across in the best way and entirely failed to placate people.

yeah i heard very good things about juno reactor too.
