Roll Call: KRAFTWERK in North America (and Europe)!

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Roll Call: KRAFTWERK in North America (and Europe)!

Count me in for Detroit, day before my birthday! I was thinking of trying to sneak Rock Werchter on the end of my Glasto trip to see them again... I never thought they'd come back here so soon :D

I literally saw the webpage update and ran down the stairs yelling "MAKE NO PLANS FOR JUNE 3 WE ARE GOING TO DETROIT"

Wow, Kraftwerk at Lycabettus! I'd love to go as it's a fantastic venue, but just can't afford it.

Saw Orbital there in August 2001 and it was amazing. Bloody good weekend actually.

...bit of a Glastonbury-sized gap in June...no sign of any rumours though.

They basically need a festival to book them. Seeing as all the likely festivals already have their line-ups, I can't really see it happening.

Would be tempted to pop over to Ireland for sure mind......

I think it'll just be Chicago for me... I'd love to make Detroit too but I've spent way too much lately on tickets.

Two days!

This is *so* going to be worth getting on a train at 6:30 Friday morning!

This will be my friend Al's first concert (how is that possible?!) so I'm hoping it kind of blows his mind in a good way :D I already accidentally told him about the part where they bring out the robots... I probably should have left that as a surprise!

Well, after seeing them last night in DC, I can say with confidence that you guys won't be disappointed :) They put on a fantastic show. They did the whole deal with the robots on stage again, and they had some cool visuals on a roughly 2.8:1 rear projection screen... it appeared to be 3 4:3 projectors, synchonized and perfectly aligned (sorry, I'm a video geek :D) But anyway, it was cool.

They played the Kling Klang mix of Expo2000. My life is now almost complete... just have to see Plaid play a live A/V set... 8)
