I'm not going, unfortunately, but there is a pub directly opposite the Bridgewater Hall that has outside seating and is beside the river - not too bad, and literally 2 minutes walking distance to the venue! :)

Steve

Looks to be one nearby called "The Britons Protection"

CAMRA heritage pub - meant to be good, looks like you could spit onto the hall from there

Gig Review

Post by chime »

Arrived at the Bridgewater Hall about 45 mins before the end of Steve's set which was brilliant, apart from when the guy on the mixing desk decided to do a sound check towards the end of it!!
Paul took to the stage at 9pm with all the other musicians, and the sound was superb, brilliant acoustics in a great venue.
Best songs of the night were my favourite track off the album, Nothing Else Matters, The Box was Awesome, Gloopy and Belfast.
It would have been nice if there had been more audience interaction from Paul, instead of a simple "Thanks" after every song, and "This is for the older people" prior to the box being played. I thought he would have introduced the musicians who were playing with him, and the drummer he used was fantastic!!.
All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable performance, and the best thing about the night???,
Me and Steve eventually met each other for the first time! :D

Gig was fantastic. Lots of impressive instrument swapping. Paul seemed to try and come forward a bit more when playing the bass (can't remember which track), but had to retreat cos of a load of feedback. Perhaps could do with some visuals in the future.

What happened to simple kid?

Dancook - he lost his voice and didnt support London neither.

Chime - It was great to meet you Mark after all these years! :) Hopefully we get more chances in the future. Thanks for the cool feedback :)
