I celebrated it in Killarney (County Kerry) on a beautiful hot summer's day watching the St Patrick's Day parade with a pint (or two!) of Guinness in my hand! 8)

A great spot is Killarney if a bit of a tourist trap.
Next time, head out the Ring towards Kenmare and Cahersiveen, or out the Dingle peninsula towards Slea Head.

However, a beautiful hot summers day. Methinks it was more than one or two Guinness

It felt like a summers day anyway (17 odd degrees and got sunburnt) - yup, more than one or two Guinness'! :P

I'll definitely give Kenmare and Cahersiveen a visit next time - beautiful scenery... :)

Jayzus, 'tis a sad state of affairs when I have to remind the Sassanachs of a day of celebration again.

Passed me by... like every other St Georges.

Us british are about as patriotic as a bunch of mercenaries... It just doesnt seem cool to celebrate your heritage in this country.

My computer was sick and it only came out of the hospital yesterday so this is a bit late this year.

It's that time of the year again, so happy St Patricks Day (except those if ye who are going to Underworld tonight. I hate you)

Ahh, how we missed being at home on the auld sod on Paddy's Day. Rivers of vomit and urine running freely down the filthy litter-strewn streets of old Dublin town. Obnoxious youths prowling the lanes and alleyways, bags of cans in hand, out of their heads on cheap booze (or as we say in the vernacular, "locked"). Stag parties and hen nights wearing the obligatory leprechaun hats and fake beards. And pubs gouging natives and foreigners alike with over-priced drink in over-filled establishments.

Instead, the Mrs and I had to endure lovely polite people, tasty grub, craft beers and the most amazing show by Messrs Hyde and Smith at Alexandra Palace. Third time seeing Underworld,,and each time they get better.
