Here's advance warning of one to watch: this sunday (23rd Sept) 9pm on BBC2 is Stuart: a life backwards.
A true story about a homeless guy living life on the edge. I read the book and it was amazing, can't wait to see the film...

More here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0853153/
Orbital favourite Richard Cant is in it!

This is England

Loved the way this film was shot and made to look like it really was from the 80's, dialogue was also brilliant, had such a raw feel about it. Story line was very shallow and the ending very abrupt but I did actually quite enjoy this.

Just watched The Fountain again. Probably the 30th time I've seen it.

I love this film, everything aboout it. The music is fantastic! Clint Mansell really captures the mood of this wonderful film.

His films are very odd, but also very good. Always expertly executed dialogues in his films though I havent seen this one yet, but heard lots about it.

Hmm, recently I have watched:

Outlaw (4 out of 10)
Robocop (8 out of 10); first 18 cert I saw at the cinema!
Apocalypto (8 out of 10)

Got sunshine to watch next....

I've reached that stage where i can now inflict some great movies in my daughters head :)

We watched "Star Wars" a couple of weeks ago and yesterday we watched "The Empire Strikes Back". Her best bit was when Luke lost his hand. :)

Back to real life i finally got to watch "Nil by Mouth" which was just as i thought it would be. Quite disturbing / shocking and Ray Winstone is fantastic in it. If you think you have a bad life...watch this...

Recently watched Itty Bitty Titty Commitee

Shame the title was the best thing about it... I don't even think I could recommend it to Philmanns!

Alien Resurection - Err, I thought it was crap.

Ice Age 2 - Genius.

Children of Men - I heard and read mixed reviews about this film, but I really enjoyed it. Thought Michael Caine was brilliant and I really bought into the premise, I thought it was very original and refreshing...

I watched the remake of 3:10 to Yuma, starring Christian Bale and Russel Crowe, and it was fantastic. I love a good western, and this one lived up to the hype. Quality acting from the entire cast.

I have the two Grindhouse Movies in my possesion at the mo so watched Planet Terror this arvo - Didnt like it, very well done but just not my bag! Will watch Deathproof later...

Also watched the latest Van Damme flick called Until Death...was ok but not recommended, to be honest I fully expected this so not too disappointed.

And to round off a weekend of slightly disappointing movies I saw "Next" with Nicholas Cage...which wasnt bad but was just way too predictable (if you excuse the pun, since the whole plot is revolved around Cage's character being able to see into his immediate future!!)
