Robowar

Unintentionally hilarious eighties action flick with a bunch of rambowarriortypes in the jungle fighting against a robot with a funny voice. If you watch this, expect loads of gunfire and a dialogue compiled entirely out of clichés. They also say that the plot is a total ripoff of Predator, but I can't tell since I've never seen Predator.

How was Jarhead Steve, I wanted to see that when it came out.

I watched Holiday last night with Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jude Law & Jack Black. Despite the big names I'm afraid it failed to deliver much depth. Bit too slow-paced and shmaltzy for me.

Dolly :) I always wanted to watch Jarhead as well but couldn’t find anyone who wanted to go with me to the cinema. I just got the usual "its a war film" comment which it isn’t really. Its quite an intriguing film but i couldn’t decided why it is. Its probably the magic of Mendes i guess and the way he makes good people films.

Shame his missus doesn't seem to be picking her scripts too wisely  I have to add that that film (Holiday) had possibly the worst sugar-coated ending I have ever seen - made me wanna puke!

and something else (sorry, off on one now!) who else here thinks that Jack Black is incredibly over-rated? I have been underwhelmed and completely bored by everything I've seen him in...

Did you just knock Jack Black? Blasphemy!

He's played in a few stinkers, but I'm a huge fan of JB.
The Hex

Some people don't get the Transformers. It's simple. They're big robots. And they change into things. And they fight. This is beautiful and mad. If you do not get this, there is something missing in your soul. - Paul O'Brien
