District 13

Very enjoyable.
"You know, just simple lines intertwining, you know, very much like - I'm really influenced by Mozart and Bach, and it's sort of in between those, really. It's like a Mach piece, really"
Nigel Tufnel talking about his song "Lick My Love Pump" - This Is Spinal Tap.

Little Miss Sunshine.

Fucking great. One of the best films I've seen in a while. Steve Carell is one funny man IMO.

I want to see that Dave. Isn't it supposed to have 'real sex' in it? (that's not the reason I want to see it btw  I just heard it was good)

What, real sex, or the movie?

I haven't seen the movie but i can tell you the other one is good most of the time anyway.

Just finished watching Pan's Labryinth - what an amazing film.
Del Torro deserves an Oscar for this one - easily the best film of 2006 for me.

I agree. A fantastic movie. It's so weird that it was made by the guy who did Blade 2 and Hellboy. I love both those movies, but Pan's Labyrinth is just on a whole other level.

Highly recommended.

Some people don't get the Transformers. It's simple. They're big robots. And they change into things. And they fight. This is beautiful and mad. If you do not get this, there is something missing in your soul. - Paul O'Brien

Two sides to Del Toro's filmaking - the Holywood features and the Spanish language films he made which are equally as good as Pan.
If you loved Pan - you really should check out Chronos & especially The Devil's Backbone.

I own the latter on DVD, but I prefer Blade 2 and Hellboy to The Devil's Backbone. It's good, though, no doubt about it. :)
