I'm flying in friday AM and will be in Dublin around 1 ish I reckon. Any locals got any decent sightseeing tips? you should've come to the Newcastle gig - the meetup pub (the forth) has a great smoking area - Phil and I sat out there whilst Sid smoked - it's a covered terrace on the back of the building. They also had Sierra Nevada (v. nice American beer) on tap!

Yeah, I was stood right next to Sid in the 2nd half...agreed that it wasn't rammed as I'd expected - the venue reminds me of Brixton Academy but it's half the size...

Was a fantastic gig - however, I disagree that the start was disappointing, it was Out There Somewhere! Widely regarded by many fans as their pinnacle! But as long as they floated your boat eventually then it's all good. Highlights for me were OTS, Know Where To Run (haven't heard that since Hammers...

Loopz - the first proper page on the site after the silhouette image - there's a list of dates, and it says the Newcastle and Manchester gigs are in June....I'm pretty sure I booked for September?!

That's a great venue actually, I saw Ben Folds Five there a number of times in the late 90s. The room isn't huge so it will be a packed out sweaty one where you might as well be up the front cos everywhere else is the same! Was always cheap beer there!
