Re: So, who's doing which dates?

yea, those AMG costs make the other place seem like a rip-off. 2.50 versus 25.00? there's no comparison.

Re: So, who's doing which dates?

I just realized I'll be in Spain between 22-26th of September :(

this means no Brixton gig for me.

However, I'm definitely going to one of the other ones, probably either Global Gathering or The Big Chill. :)

stimpee!!

I can't believe you still have a .gif of Spede on your profile! haha, that cracks me up man

yea I'm so undecided about which gig is the essential orbital experience of the year. Choosing one is like "Sophie's Choice", the movie!

Re: So, who's doing which dates?

wooh, I'm actually glad I didn't buy the Big Chill festival tickets yet. Not that I've decided I'm NOT going there, but at least I have a few alternatives now! But do you reckon their sets will be mighty different in different locations? I mean length, specifically. Does anybody have any idea if the...

Re: 2009 - Loopz Meetup Party ? - 20 years Orbital birthday!

So, if I was you, I'd book tomorrow... Yea, thanks for the tip. I'll definitely book in January, latest, because I don't have any extra money right now (it's Christmas season, alright?). Don't think they'd sell out THAT soon, although maybe they'll attract more attention this year because Orbital (...

Re: 1hr 30mins - What would YOU play?

Replace Winehouse with Duffy and you've got a deal. Fantastic. On further thought, perhaps we should just drop P.&P. out of the equation altogether and just do an MTV music awards mash-up of random celebrities and has-beens? Who says Orbital #2 needs to have the same membership as the original ...

Re: 1hr 30mins - What would YOU play?

Ha! I like the idea of ending with Crash and Carry... so random! What I would do is revamp their whole catalogue into shape. In order to be relevant in 2009, P.&.P. need to amp up their songs a bit. Their tracks ought to be pumped full of testosterone-fuelled hip hop breaks and MC'ing and live s...

Re: 2009 - Loopz Meetup Party ? - 20 years Orbital birthday!

This is great news! Now, a question: how fast do you reckon Big Chill usually sell out? Spring/Summer of '09? If this is their only gig, I'm soooooooo coming to Big Chill next year! If, on the other hand, they play some other gigs, I'll try to pick the most opportune one for me and my plans. So I'll...

Re: 2009 - Loopz Meetup Party ? - 20 years Orbital birthday!

Since I've never actually seen you guys before, I might hop along next year if the venue and time sounds good... Anywhere within Europe would be fine, although I guess realistically it will happen within the U.K., am I right or am I right?

But yea, bring it on! :applause

Re: New Autechre album, "Quaristice" - 3rd March 2008

I'll just say I think the album is brilliant - well, near-brilliant anyway - and one of the most purely enjoyable things they've done in many years. I mean I've *loved* their output of recent years, but it seems they've set out to do things very differently here, and I think it's very refreshing. Th...

Re: New Autechre album, "Quaristice" - 3rd March 2008

so how is it, steve, did you listen to it yet? :D I'm waiting for my physical, old school Compact Disc (I'm assuming you got a digital download, unless you were lucky enough to receive a promo), so I have a whole month to manage before getting my hands down and dirty with the Manchester boys - wait,...

I didn't know there was any uncertainty about this. It always sounded like "How does it feel?" to me. Then again, maybe I just subconsciously read the sleeve notes! :o
