Re: Paul Hartnoll Interview & 2 New Tracks

Yes, that is most definitely against the rules! I'd take it down yourself before a mod comes along!

Rich

PS There is something very funny about this, and I wish I could name names!

Re: Paul Hartnoll Interview & 2 New Tracks

I suspect it's sample clearance issues. The original 'Don't Stop Me' sample wasn't female, it was male, and if I've identified it correctly, I'm not surprised if clearance was an issue (won't say what I think it was on here though).

Re: TouchOSC

I got hold of a couple of the Korg Nano range, pretty cheap - the NanoPad has 16 pads and an X-Y touch surface, and the NanoKontrol has 8 sliders, pots and 16 buttons. They were both £35 off eBay!

TouchOSC

I know there's a couple of Ableton users, and certainly some Reason users on here. I've recently invested in a Mac (for iPhone development primarily, but it's also getting some use for music...). I've got an app on my iPhone called TouchOSC - it's amazing! Basically gives you a control surface - wel...

Interview with Paul in MusicTech Focus mag

MusicTech magazine do these occasional 'premium' magazines focussing on a specific area, the latest one is on Ableton Live, and has an interview with Paul about how they use Ableton in the live sets. Quite interesting stuff if you're a music tech nerd (like me). Bought the mag anyway cos I want to b...

Re: Isle of Wight Festival gig - USB wristbands?

Hello Mr Mouse! The way Orbital live sets work is that all the songs are programmed on sequencers, which are bits of kit that tell a keyboard what note to play and when. All those keyboards they have on stage are playing live according to what the sequencer tells them. There's nothing on tape. Befor...

Don't worry Mr Loopz, I won't! But I assume they'll have to go for clearance because they are a little obvious!

I like it! Sounds like earlier-era Orbital!

Anyone else figured out the samples yet? ;-)

Re: As the aches subside....

Good to meet you too Rich. I had a great night up to about halfway through when the dick in front of me kept moving back and pushing me - not the crowd, just this one guy. I eventually stood to the side to let him get on with it, when his girlfriend then appears and starts doing the same. I pointed ...
