Re: Favourite song from the current set,and why.
The whole first half of the set was fantastic by the end of the tour - I particularly loved the re-tweakings of Lush and Remind, and hearing Chime/Crime done in a fresh way made me thoroughly enjoy a tune I'd got a little tired of. More random back catalogue re-fucked next time round please!

I'm in for my third Bang Face Weekender. Awesome event.
That's me in the Predator costume in the animated gif posted above, by the way.

Of course they'll be there. I'll eat your hat if they aren't.

Re: Orbital Live DVD
a bit boring to 'watch ' though isn't it , i can see the point of a recording but not the 'visual' of watching 2 blokes at work! Maybe if those 2 blokes took some inspiration from S Club 7 it wouldn't be so boring to watch. Costume changes, choreography, maybe some light-hearted banter and witty st...

Re: Glastonbury
I actually really enjoy Glastonbury from the comfort of my own 42" plasma...the BBC coverage is usually fantastic. Not even HD can capture the magic of a night spent blundering through the back-ends of fields that 'definitely weren't here last year' with your eyes in backwards and your arm aro...

Re: what would you put in the set?
I'm a bit late to this thread, but here's my tuppence anyhow... I think it's time for Kein Trink Wasser to make a comeback. It's not necessarily one I'm personally desperate for, but it's one the fans love and it's also one that people who don't know Orbital really seem to appreciate when they hear ...

Re: Help please regarding Orbital MP3!!
On the subject of chopping a big MP3 into separate tracks... does anyone have a free bit of Mac software they can recommend for doing this? Ideally, something where you can just put markers for where each track starts and it will chop it into multiple tracks automatically. Audacity seems to need you...

Re: SPOILER ALERT: Melbourne set
I just got this text from a friend in Australia (not Badger):
"Orbital started good but now they are fucking GAY. Just dropped a bootleg of belinda carlisle's 'heaven is a place on earth' spliced with 'living on a prayer'."
I forgot that it could even be a surprise to anyone!

Re: Brighton set list SPOILER
One perfect sunrise is a beautiful song and I think it breaks up the set nicely, inserting a bit of chill at the right time. It's hardly chilled - it's faster than everything else and really pumps its way along at a frantic trancey pace with no tension or sense of brilliant timing that most Orbital...

Re: Brighton set list SPOILER
My advice would be to drop One Perfect Sunrise and put something like Kein Trink Wasser in its place. One Perfect Sunrise simply isn't as good as Orbital seem to think it is - it's like a lame, soulless rip-off of Orbital, and it really sounded cheap next to such a great selection of tunes in the ne...

Re: SPOILER Orbital Tour 2009 YouTube clips
That Satan clip's cool because you can see that the tune gets stuck in a groove while they faff about with mixer knobs and talk about stuff. Shows that it's not all just running straight off Ableton like a lot of 'live' acts do these days. They can obviously still extend and fiddle with tunes on the...
