I'd forgotten aboot the volume levels at Glade. Last time we went (2008) it was ridiculously low.
Bit of a no-brainer this year, with Orbital on!!

Re: ORBITAL are headlining Glade Festival
Ooh... Been to all of the Glades except last year. It was definitely my favourite festival of the year, better than Glasto. What was the new venue like last year compared with the old one? Did it affect the atmosphere/audience in anyway? Last time I went to that venue (for Homelands), Hampshire cons...

Re: Does anyone here play chess...?
Ha. Just seen this.
I was second in the Middlesex Junior Championships in 1972. I also used to play postal chess, which is quite difficult for 'normal' people to understand - games lasting for 3 years, for example!
I haven't picked up a bishop (fnarr fnarr) for years & years now.

Re: Brighton set list SPOILER
I thought Brighton was a superb gig. Highlights for me were Halcyon and Chime/Chime Crime. I agree with Funky re OPS - I've always thought of it as an attempt to reproduce old glories as it were. I think P&P should consider making Halcyon the set-closer rather than Dr Who. Overall I had a fantas...

I spent a lot of my yoof going to gigs at the Dome, so I'm really looking forward to this one.
I saw Tangerine Dream there in ~1976, when (believe it or not) I think they held the record for being the loudest live band.
