I thought they looked suspiciously stylish in the Maida Vale video!
I'd make my own, but may end up looking like the guy from 'Honey I Shrunk the Kids'!

Re: torches glasses
http://www.paramountzone.com/lites.htm There's these, but they've been out of stock since I bookmarked the link a few weeks ago. Yes, I've been looking for them too! According to the band in Mixmag, try a hardware store, although they'll probably have a picture of a guy inspecting a u bend on the p...

Re: Did anyone get the PIL/Orbital (DJ set) for the Record S
I notice on the Record Store Day website, there's a ltd. edition 7" of 'Wonky' listed? So, presumably this is 'Wonky' as a single? Anyone got any idea if there are any other tracks on there? Hoping the DJ version will get an official release.

Re: Can anyone record the Red Button Orbital from Maida Vale
Excellent - thanks for that! I notice Beelzedub has the 'I demand an audience with his Satanic Majestey' sample in, which I loved in latter live versions of Satan. Is that in the studio version? Nope. Shame! Such a great sample! I'm a real sucker for spoken samples, and film cuts. So I LOVE the sta...

Crowdsurge Pre-Orders
Was wondering if you'd heard anything about the albums ordered from Crowdsurge as part of the ticket bundle? Is there any confirmation about which version of the the CD it is? And any idea who it is that's shipping it? Crowdsurge told me Orbital will be shipping it. Does this mean the band, or someo...

Re: Top Five Greatest Orbital Tracks Of All Time!!!
It's a tough ask, but: The Girl With The Sun In Her Head (really hoping to hear this live on the next tour) Impact (especially the USA version) Out There Somewhere (FANTASTIC opener from the 2009 tour - you could feel it rattling the floor in Manchester!) One Perfect Sunrise (Somehow really melancho...

Re: Is this the origin of Straight Sun?
Glad I'm not the only one that thought so... Or the only one who's watched the videos more than once in anticipation of the album!
I really like that melody the 'original' version goes into. It's got that summery, euphoric sound. So kind of a shame if it's been cut out, unless it's used elsewhere...

Is this the origin of Straight Sun?
Was re-watching some of the 'In The Studio' videos, and wondered if the music playing in the background of this one was what eventually became Straight Sun? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdtLQ_EwKfg The beat at the start sounds pretty much identical, but then when the melody kicks in, it's pretty d...

Thanks for uploading that! A brilliant read! The idea about combining Altogether and Blue Album's interesting. Wonder what the running order of that would have been like?

Sounds really interesting. Is it recent? I tend to buy Uncut, but haven't seen it. Any chance of copying it into this thread?

Re: Wonky Album Review
one thing i would say is that "Stringy Acid" sounds a lot like early 808 State. Like something from their "90" album..it's brilliant. Great nod to where it all started. Can't wait to hear this live. It's interesting. I was just listening to the Lush 3 single the other day. Hadn'...
