Twenty years on and they are getting a dark and sinister make-over, much more appropriate to their origins as robotic alien life-f...

It sounds delicious. I think 'Dogstar' is going to become a favourite of mine.

But why do they take so bloody long between albums?! I find it most stressful. :(

Longrange and Echasketch were my highlights, and of course saying hello to Mr. Loopz :P

Tom Middleton was great too, but the man talks so much bullshit - in your own words, let us make our own minds up!

I have 7 essential acts, over three different stages, who I'm desperately hoping will not clash:

Sanctuary Stage - Echaskech

Castle Stage - Jon Hopkins, Longrange, The Egg

Open Air Stage - José Gonzalez, Amba, Bent

And as for all the others I hope to see...

Act

JIMBO wrote:'Dawsons Creek angst shite?' - You mean the bits where people, y'know, act and stuff? :)
Absolutely. That was what set Spiderman 2 above all else in the genre. The balance of emotive story and action was perfect, and I hope there is just as much in number three.

I have high hopes for this.

New

Well, it's a beauty. Soaring strings? Check. Chunky beats? Check. Noise and FX? Check.

Classic Hybrid, although nothing new, this track moistens my ear-buds for the new LP. I even ended up purchasing their four bootlegs and the Maida Vale gig from Disctinctive.com too.

They're splitting due to 'musical differences'. Blimey. That's a shame. As an act so diverse, i'm surprised they could have such a thing, unless it's to do with their future direction, which you could see changing with Ariels. Any idea what the iTunes album is like? I imagine it will be hard beatin...
