Are you still listening to the album and thoughts now

After what happened with the blue album (listened to it for a couple of weeks and then shoved it in away never to be seen again) I wondered weather wonky would fair any better. Well a couple of months on and it's still on rotation in my car in-between listening to talksport so that's a good start. A...

Re: What did you think of the setlist (Spoilers)

spot on kansler about trying to dance to One Big Moment, Straight Sun and Never however I can't dance anyway so I probably look like a nerd on most of the tracks. Actually I was on the front row of the Manchester gig in 2009 and ended up on Youtube trying to dance when somebody was videoing Impact f...

Re: Is this the origin of Straight Sun?

Thanks guys. Pirtek I have 2 albums worth of stuff. Some of the EDA tracks are a bit ropey soundwise as it was originally recorded to cassette before I transferred it to the computer however I'm not precious about any of this stuff so if you want a listen I'll send you whatever you want. Most of the...

Re: Is this the origin of Straight Sun?

Pirtek, just spent a couple of hours putting some stuff on Soundcloud. If you type in eda music in the search box you can listen to eclipse on there. I've also put a couple of other tracks on there - both lobe tracks from 2002 (solo name after my mate said he didn't want to do it anymore) one was fe...

Re: Is this the origin of Straight Sun?

As a side note to this, me and my mate started an orbital type band in the 90's (EDA) and did a few gigs. We sent a track to future music in 1998 and got featured on the cover cd and a demo write up in the mag saying we sounded like orbital. The issue was September or October and the track was calle...

Re: What did you think of the setlist (Spoilers)

I suppose the bottom line is I want a bigger set so they can get more of the older tracks in aswell but as you stated before it is unlikely the set would be more than 2 hrs so this is difficult. Still it's good to have a debate and get other peoples views, that's what the forum is all about.

Re: What did you think of the setlist (Spoilers)

I know it sounds like I'm contradicting myself a bit but I've heard some of these tracks at every gig and maybe in 2009 after not seeing them since 2002 it was ok but I like to go to an orbital gig and be surprised and I only got that when the sniv tracks came on. The gig was still a million times b...

Re: What did you think of the setlist (Spoilers)

I was pleased they played the new stuff, the new album is very strong, maybe it is the set time that's the problem and if they increased it by half an hour they could get 3 or 4 more tracks in. The problem I have with impact and Belfast is they sound more or less identical to the album versions so t...

Paul lost his cool .... Went a bit wonky!

Don't know if anyone else noticed this at Manchester but during chime one of the synths didn't appear to be working and Paul was not a happy bunny. After some frantic button pushing the offending instrument seemed to be dead. One of the tach guys came on and tried to get it started but to no avail. ...

What did you think of the setlist (Spoilers)

Just wanted to know what other people thought about the setlist. For this album I deliberately avoided listening to any tracks or dj sets etc so that it was all fresh when the album came out. At the gig I was surprised that they played 7 new tracks and only 7 old ones. Thought they could have droppe...
