Re: Info about vocal sampled on Omen

Fair enough, I thought about it after seeing your posts and I guess it wouldn't be so smart to feature this kind of information on an offical website...

Info about vocal sampled on Omen

The prominent vocal sample used on Omen (I've seen the future, I can't afford it...) is lifted from ABC's 1984 "How to be a millionaire" single (http://www.discogs.com/release/94985). The chanting of "dollars, pounds" heard elsewhere in the Omen mixes is also culled from that ABC...

Let me also sing the praise of Seefeel's Quique redux reissue which is right around the corner.

Plainsong and Industrious are choice tunes, as fresh as the day they were baked :D

Orbital gig radiobroadcasted ca. 94/95?

In the spring of '95, there was broadcasted an Orbital gig on norwegian radio. It was it two half-hour parts (sadly I missed the first part), including Impact and a fantastic take of Sad but true. The radio in Norway gets a lot of their stuff from the BBC, so I wonder if somebody here would know the...

IMO "Spokes" was a great return to form for the Plaid lads. I dunno about this new album though, listening to it reminds me of the sinking feeling I get when I put on Autechre's "Confield" CD. I have listened a lot to the album of late, and must admit that it is pretty darn good...
