Re: 8:58

Only had a couple of listens so far. Really loving Cemetery, also liking The Past Now and Broken Up. The others I'm struggling a bit with - which is something I'm not used to. I usually like most of Paul's stuff straight away. Hopefully after a few more listens I'll get in to some more of the tracks...

They just posted (someone else's) remix of Beelzedub on their Soundcloud page so I wonder if that will be next?

Re: New Single “Where Is It Going?” – August 27th 2012

Stems are here: http://soundcloud.com/talenthouse/sets/remix-orbital-for-moogfest/ - downloadable with the down arrow to the far right of each track. First I'd heard of this compo was this forum post myself - you'd think it would be mentioned somewhere wouldn't you... shame it's only open to US resi...

It's pretty much just drawn out over a longer time period. I like it though :)

Re: Beatport Wonky Remix Contest

Glad you guys like it :)

Very simple and free setup - just two bits of software OpenMPT and Audacity, and I managed to use only the provided samples.

Re: Beatport Wonky Remix Contest

I've started working on one. It's so much fun playing with these samples! :D You can load them all up in Audacity and play them together, which is interesting. Didn't realise the vocals literally miaow.

Re: ORBITAL - "Never"

Modified Orbital tracks, sacrilege!

Although I did have fun once upon a time looping the crazy synth outro on the DVD version of Monorail for a pleasingly long time.

Re: ORBITAL - "Never"

I definitely noticed that it sounded different. The da-das are quieter in the album version. I'm getting used to this "official" version now but it was slightly jarring at first having got so used to the previous one! (On a similar note I also noticed that the mastering of Belfast seems di...

Re: 2012 Tour Live Soundboard Recordings

I can see that it would a lot of effort to do the USB wristbands again. But how difficult to stick up an online store where we can pay for MP3 downloads of a gig or two? Would have thought that would be pretty easy to set up, and a very nice little earner!

Re: What did you think of the setlist

I was really pleased with the set. It was great to have a 50/50 mix of old and new, because like MindRubber I've grown pretty tired of the "best of" set, so it was great to hear something fresh. The live version of Wonky was amazing! Probably the highlight of the night for me, and only a f...
