Re: Orbital to play Ultra Music Festival

It's now listed on the Ultra Music Festival site. I can't believe this, there's no way I can get out of work for this. Please, please play somewhere else in Florida, like House of Blues in Orlando on the Sunday or Monday after the Ultra show.

Re: Rank the Orbital albums

1. In Sides - This was also the first Orbital album that I really got in to. I had listened to some of Sniv. & Diversions, but it wasn't until 1996 that I started listening to "electronic" music more frequently. I remember buying this album and after the first listen thinking "Thi...

Re: In Sides Art Print

Another option is buy the vinyl version of In Sides and buy a frame for the vinyl. I've done it with some of the Orbital albums, and then you can just swap out album covers whenever you like. I had 2 framed Orbital vinyl covers, 1 was the red Acid Pants along and the other was the Blue album. Looked...

Re: new Orbital album or sp/ep?? :)

I think we're going to get word in the next couple of months that Orbital is back working on new material. I think Paul hinted at it, and maybe Loopz wants us to pick up on it, but in the news section, where Paul is talking about the album '20' he says : "It's a great introduction, or indeed a ...

Re: Orbital's Live Rig (news page)

Nice pic of the Alesis A6 Andromeda. I think getting rid of the MMT's is going to help their live performance. Using Ableton LIVE is going to open up a lot of possibilties for them. They're not stuck with the typical song structure. I hope that with the new live set up and the fact that they're play...

Re: Dates for 2009

Steve - I'm guessing there's no talk of any U.S. dates? Cuz I'm consider taking another trip across the pond again to see my boys P&P. Not that I need to sell you on the idea, but they could definitely sell out shows over here. I know Underworld is coming to the U.S. this summer, and The Orb is ...

Re: 1hr 30mins - What would YOU play?

I hope that Orbital will come out and play a new set list, full of old tunes and drop some of the staples or classics from the set. All the songs in my set list have been played live, so it's not unreasonable to hear some of these tracks. I did not include Halcyon, The Box, TGWTSIHH or Chime because...

Yeah, I was there, not sure which Island though. There weren't many people at my island. I actually sent Loopz and "Donald" an IM in Second Life to get you to teleport me to where you all were at, but you must have missed it. Anyways, it was cool, the sound was really good, visuals were ne...

I should be "attending" the gig in SL, although I haven't gotten a ticket yet, but if I do I'll be there as : Bobloblaw Blum (Arrested Development reference)
