Re: Ableton 8

I also had loads of problems with Live 7 (working on a XP O/S). I have yet to try version 8 though. p.s. anyone using Vista or tinking of moving to Vista, should install Windows 7 instead. I've ran it for a few weeks on 4 machines and It's pretty solid, fast and reliable....so far! Steve, Do you kn...

Re: Orbital's Live Rig (news page)

Yes, you can place it in the kitchen for the time being. Thank you. What's that big white thing with the sliders? It looks like something from the Tardis  Big white thing is a Macbeth M5N. It's layout is reminiscent to an ARP 2600 but I'm not sure how the two compare. Sadly, I've never playe...

If you're set on using Logic, you won't have any choice but to use a Mac. I've been using Logic 5 on the PC for a couple of years and have had absolutely no trouble doing anything I wanted to do. Yes, I'm aware that Logic used to be available for PC until Apple bought them out. For someone just get...

If you're set on using Logic, you won't have any choice but to use a Mac. Other than that, it really makes no difference which machine you choose. I've been using PCs for audio/midi apps for a long time with no troubles to speak of. So... choose which application suits you and then choose you machin...

While the noise print/noise reduction method might eliminate some of it, unless the guitar is pretty static and unchanging, it'll still get through and the reduction will more than likely take the certain frequencies of the vocal right along with it. This is also why vocal removers never really work...
