Orbital & Hawking - a new collaboration?
Stephen Hawking wearing Orbital glasses and doing vocals with P&P at the Paralympics opening ceremony - So unexpected and so awesome!

Re: Anyone going to Bloc?
Yep I'm going, but I don't think many people are tho. By the sounds of Twitter tonight, its quite the opposite - 20,000 many people have gone tonight and it's been shut down in chaos. If that really is the case, it's gotta be a good bet that the licence will be pulled for tomorrow. Reading some of ...

Re: LONDON - Loopz Pre-Gig Meet Up & Roll Call
Oh my! What a gig!
Long live Orbital V2!
I never thought I would see/hear anything as good as that again.
My expectations were worryingly high but totally surpassed.
P&P - You Are Gods!
Thank you.

Re: Wonky Album Review
After a few listens, I'd say this is a glorious piece of work from P&P, perhaps one of the most consistent and well-crafted albums they've ever made. Is it possible we will be treated to all the new album tracks in the live set? I'm hoping so - all are worthy. As for Paul getting most of the wri...

Re: Orbital on BBC6 ALL day this Friday (16th March)
I think the guy on the door said I was number 132...and the last in. Even with that few inside I couldn't really see anything from the back because there was no raised stage, but at least the screen was helpful.Badger wrote:Crap! How many actually got in then?

Re: Orbital on BBC6 ALL day this Friday (16th March)
Think I might change my name on here to 'Standby 17' awww - bad news - it sounded ominous for you when the old guy suggested you might not make it in but got me worried too. I thought it might be a more complete live set so at least you didnt miss out on that. Gotta get there earlier for the...

Re: Orbital on BBC6 ALL day this Friday (16th March)
Is it me or is Beezledub just a dubstep version of Satan? or was it wrongly titled by BBC?
I had assumed that Beezledub was going to be a reworking of Beezlebeat.
All sounded good at Maida Vale anyway - managed to be the last person in before they shut the doors - phew

A remix I have not heard before
As jolly as it is, I'm kinda hoping this isn't the new direction for the new album though...

Re: Leftfield Live
I read an entertaining (and very positive) review of the Sheffield gig in the Guardian:
"These days, the greying audience look more likely to have rung a babysitter than a dealer"
I keep expecting them to announce a mini-UK tour in the autumn but nothing yet

Re: So then Isle Wight ...
I see ITV2 have pretty extensive live coverage of the IoW festival scheduled. What chance they will have cameras in the Big Top? The listing I am looking at lists The Saturdays and N-Dudz (sic) who are playing in the Big Top so we may well get some P&P coverage :) Interesting to see that Little ...

Re: Chemical Brothers - Swoon
Yep - it's definitely the era of the uncredited cover version - Delphic's "cover" of Belfast was nice and surely the Chems should be boosting the Brown album royalties bank account with this pleasant reworking  which tracks a "cover" of belfast I expect he means Counterpo...
