Comments: Yeessss, it´s a great side! Congratulations! With
great contents, no doubt this site deals with one of the most unbelievable
and genius dance project of our time!!!!! Good to know, that there
are some more people out there sharing this opinion. At least I hope
so. Mmmh. I think I know. Actually, what I wanted to say: I hope you´ve
all seen the video of the "Nothing left" remix. It´s a real masterpiece.
The remix is outrageous. Wow. Unique. |

Comments: Well, I have been into Orbital ever Since I was 8,
a whole 5 years ago, I really wish I wouldv'e caught their show in
london NYE, but I didn't hear about it soon enough. That was probably
a really ass-kick'n show... Did any you peoples catch that show? I
sat in my bed room as my strobe light made me noutious and I listened
to Halcyon on in sides and the cd wasn't in that good of conition
cause I've had it for ever so it skiped occaisionally, but It got
pretty loud cause I blasted it out of my bass amplifier, if steve
happens to see this, I am going to scan one of the pic's of me outside
the congress theatre for the chicago show this summer, man that was
a great show, wish they wouldv'e played the 28 minute box remix...
hey, if you were at that show, and you were outside the congress theatre
an hour(s) early or so, and you had a 2600
the hacker quarterly shirt on, e-mail me. if I don't respond try
this adress. ha ha,
nothing happened on the stroke of midnight, ha ha, well that's all,
happy new year, I know it was a very happy new year for the folks
who cought the Orbital show in london... baí |

awesome, and ORBITAL is beyond description. I saw P&P rock the Austin
Music Hall Jul 16 99 and from that night on my life has not been the
same. I cannot wait to see them again and hope one day I will get
to meet them or at least one of them. Phil and Paul Hartnoll produce
the greatest art the world has ever experienced. Every track on every
one of their albums is a classic masterpiece and same can be said
for their EPs. I hope P&P can continue making music for a long, long
time, and I know their music will be heard Forever,forever,forever........................

Comments: Well man, I have to say well done. This site is quite
excellent. I have been coming and going for a few months now. You
went on their early UK 99 tour but missed the gig in the Olympia here
in Dublin. Wall of sound. Didn't know what tune was running into the
next. I loved it. I was shouting for Dr Who well before the encore
started. Was I dissappointed? It was even better than you discribed
it. So away to Glastonbury with the Bray Massive. Saturday night,
Glastonbury, Orbital, light show, fireworks, "Dr Who" I screamed and
again, even better than the Olympia gig!! Close friend remarks, "That's
not Orbital...That's f****n' lethal" We went to the Prince's St. Gardens
gig for the Flux opening, couldn't believe the sh*t from the security.
We paid good money to stand way back behind the seating area (which
was far from full, by the way)and for the first hour barely heard
the guys at all. We were forced to rush the fence. So, removing a
barrier about 20 of us ran to the upper entrance (completely blocked
off all day) and tried dodging bouncers and coppers to gain entry
to the seating area and perhaps hear and dance a bit more(ohh for
the love of a bit of music). Security and coppers were very nice in
the way they collected all us miscreants and hauled us all into the
cop van. But I digress, What I meant to say is that I and my close
friend were standing among a bunch of nice Edinburgh types and 3 months
after coining a phrase in Glastonbury; we hear one of these Edinburgh
heads say, "Thats not Orbital..." and the rest of the crew shout "Thats
f*ck*n' lethal" Which, reguardless of the sh*t from the security fellows
cemented the event for ever in our heads. Just thought you'ld like
to know. Lethal (prn. Lee-thal) Deadly, amazing. Well worth taking
an intrest in. If you were told about it youl'd wish you were actually
there in person.

at the Flux Festival, and as usual it was a performance to behold.
Unfortunately, the night was spoilt by the effin' Environmental Health
Nazis who told the boys to turn the volume down, so it could have
been louder - it it wasn't for the fact that Orbital are an electronic
band this wouldn't have happened. Afterall we had to endure 2 hours
of Garbage playing at full blast several weeks earlier. Anyway, hope
to get my fix of Orbital again soon - there's just no other show like
it on Mother Earth! Keep the fire burnin'!!!! Peace and love to all
other Orbital addicts worldwide!

can make a connection with the Snivilisation album. Kein Trink Wasser
(Not for drinking wather) means nealy the same. I was too late to
join the favourite live track competition but my vote would go to
Halcyon, it really rocks. My top 5 orbital albumtracks would be: 1
IMPACT 2 The Girl With The Sun In Her Head 3 Are We Here? 4 Halcyon

i spent on browsing through several websites was well worth it. i
wanted to find and read more on orbital. ever since the first listening
of "snivilization", i've been captivated by works done by orbital:
it sweeps me into a mysterious, mirage-like musical landscape that
not too many other electronica music can create. the experience of
listening to the music on a headphone, alone, with your eyes closed,
is quite ineffable. i'm so glad that i had the chance to hear orbital
on the community service tour: it was the most exhilerating and fulfilling
concert performance i've ever attended. i'm anxiously waiting for
orbital to tour in the states again, soon..

Comments: Just thought i'd pop in to say a rather large thanks
to Mr P(aul) & P(hil) Hartnoll for giving the world some extremely
quality melodies, many of which are very lovely and as emotional as
Mr John Barrys' exceptional tunes. Never a day passes without an orbital
tune being whistled by either me or my mates-especially 'Impact'-
and rarely a day passes without the play of your tunes on my large
stereo. Finally without sounding any more like a kiss-ass, i'd just
like to list a few of my all time favorites: 1- Impact (the earth
is burning) **When designing a bar in Milan (at college) i named it
'Bar T.E.I.B.' due to the impact of the bar on entrance (obviously!)
2- Adnans 3- Dwr Budr (what the hell does that mean any way) 4- Way
Out... ...come to think of it they all have their time and place.
Hope the 2 of you read this and PLAY LIVE AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR AT
THE GLASGOW BARROWLANDS!! Saw you in 1996 and this year and it is
one of the best nights out due to the nice atmosphere and the rockin'
good tunes. Adios, Gavin Jon Hughes (All round design type guy) from
Scotland

that, in my opinion, there is no better techno outfit out there. You
guys pull it off so well that everytime I hear an Orbital song, I
know it's going to be good. The music has a way of touching souls
and warming hearts. There are many a happy time I remember having
with Orbital playing in the background, and every time I hear the

how much praise might mean to you. So here's to Orbital. You guys

at Glastonbury this year knows how much they rocked the place. I had
the privilege of seeing them twice this past week-end at both V99
gigs for a combined cost of £0 (but thats another story!) and what
gigs they were. We've come to the conclusion that you simply don't
need drugs at Orbital gigs. The music (and visuals) P & P create is
enough in itself to set the Serotonin flowing! Wicked site - just

the albums and alot of singles and the middle of nowhere gig (at the
Brighton center) was top. Please keep up a grand web site and please

please (if you can). P.S. Can you tell them that the megadog set back
in '93 was bloody good because they were crashed out after their set
was finnished and I didn't get much of a chance to tell them how good
it was (I'm one of the guys who crashed in when we got kicked out

a band that is getting to be a very important part of my life. Finding
out about the more obscure singles from the group on your audio page
was great, now I have to start hunting. I first heard Sad but New
on a local radio station about 2 years ago and started dncing in the
garage. Now five albumns later I am dancing all over. I am way over
the rave/techno/dance group age (40+) and I love this group. If you

forward to seeing the boys in Princes St. Gardens on 13th Aug. Have
followed Orbital fanatically since seeing them in the Venue in Edinburgh
at Pure in the early 90's and they still make my hair stand on end.
Get the bagpipes out for the Capital boys, and "keep the fire burning"

spread the word about a cool project I've joined called Torch Bearers.
Torch Bearers is a brand new electronic compilation put out by Risk
Records featuring tracks by the country's top DJ's who have helped
paved the way for electronic music on and off commercial radio. Tracks
from LA's Jason Bentley, New York's Liquid Todd, Boston's Tym Ryan,
Dallas's DJ Meritt and many more take you on a underground journey
through trance, drum n bass, techno and house.

you guys @ Glastonbury 94' my whole outlook on music in general changed
forever. I had the pleasure of meeting Phil at the Brighton Centre
on the Insides tour and had a good conversation with him about a few
things (you like talking about your kids and stuff which i thought
was cool compared to the predictable techno-chat about what sequencers/samples
you use etc....) I am a music tech student and write my own material
under the guise of Circuit C. Hopefully i will have a 3-track ready
for release in the next month. Looking forward to your set at Total
Eclipse festival obviously you'll have the usual "special something"
up your sleeves. Have a safe journey down and hopefully i'll say hello
in person and have a couple of beers!! Cheers!!!! James B. circuitc@hotmail.com

fucking kicked so much ass!!! They severely domineered over Crystal

Comments: Orbital's IN SIDES runs the emotional gamut like
no other album I've heard. The story of the collective root, told
in music reminiscent of the Kaballah in terms of importance, mysticism,
and perfection. While I own and enjoy all of Orbital's work, IN SIDES
is, to me, possibly the most complete and intoxicating album ever
produced. This site is a remarkable tribute to some truly gifted artists.

like to say that in some twisted way your music has inspired me since
"Satan". (That's a good thing) That whole album kicks ass. I guess
to be a true muscian, you have to appreciate other types of music.
That's one thing that alot of people lack...they like one type of
music and bash all the other types of music...I do hate country though.
I would just like to thank you guys for playing a role in a hardcore

The first song of the first set was so off key it should have been
stopped. Fortunately Orbital redeemed themselves with the ever crowd
friendly Halcyon. The Box wasn't bad either. Oh, and Style blows,
no matter how you spice it up. Um...Satan? What happened, wre the
samples not queued up? Now that Dr. Who remix....badass....I want
to see that in the next Album. Start playing the Saint/Sinner at the

Comments: ORBITAL is BRILLIANT!!!!! Just caught their performance
on July 2nd at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark, and it was the highlight
of the entire 4 days, 160+ bands. The crowd deVOURED their smashing
performance, urging & begging for encore after encore. It was not
just a show, it was an experience. greatly look forward to hearing
from anyone who was at this show, and will MOST definitely be on the
lookout for any publication of the performance, bootleg or otherwise!!!!!
LONG LIVE ORBITAL!!!!!!!!

i just went to see the Orbital concert at the State Theatre in Detroit
and i thought it was the coolest thing in the whole world. They are
amazing. I was just wondering, if i could get Orbital to play at my
graduation party on June 10, 2000. It would be cool. And I would be
happy, and they can eat some graduation cake. So they'll be happy
too. ok bye.

Comments: I'm still aglow after what must have been the greatest
live performance I've ever seen. I went to the CST in NY last night
and was completely blown away by P-n-P's set. I could have done without
Lo Fidelity All Stars and everything Crystal Method did sounded like
Busy Child, but I got the ticket just to see Orbital and it was worth
every dime. They played the theme from Doctor Who and Chime for their
finale. I loved them before, but now I idolize them... I also saw
a number of surreptitious DAT machines in the hands of some fans.
Let's hope there are some bootlegs as a result. I'd love to get my
hands on one...

a huge fan of Orbital until recently. It's not like I didn't like
their music or anything but I didn't own any albums or anything. I
had been told that they were amazing live though so when I heard they
were coming to Dirty Dublin I decided to get a ticket and see what
all the fuss was about. 31st March turned out to be a night I will
remember as long as I live. It was, let's face it, the dog's bollocks.
Thanks for the memories Phil & Paul. Even a stopped clock gives the
right time twice a day...peace. P.S. See you in September @ Homelands.

Nigerian Polka. What the FUCK is wrong with you? Step away

Who cares if you love Orbital, etc. etc. I believe your missing the
point of a 'good' guestbook. You see, in my world it's about "scoring"
with 14 year old girls, all you guys think about is your dumb techno
music... I mean, it does provide good rhythm to masturbate to but
it's all very pointless. You all should cum to my site and sign our
guestbook. The messages here provide little 'action' to this large

Comments: Best Orbital Web site that I can find at the moment
I think the secret of orbital's music is that it doesn't age. It still
sounds fresh. That's why orbital are respected so much. The new album
is amazing I got it when it was first released and I'm still finding
little things in the tunes that I don't remember hearing first time
round now! I brought it on double 12" and can't wait to drop in some
of the tunes on it when I play my next set!

wasn't played on the peel show? I was there and it was one of the
best sets i've seen them play. I couldn't wait to hear the encore
again - satan mixed into dr who and then into chime. Absolutely f***ing
brilliant. I can't say I tuned into the show myself, as I was away,
but my girlfriend did tape the show and i was told Mr Peel only played
the support act, cornelius, who, i might add, were pretty good. But
nothing compared to the hartnolls. Was it actually played? Or did
she miss the set? Does anyone out there know?

information about the CD's provided from your web sight, I was very
surprised to recieve the singles only 7 days after their release in
the U.K.. I coincidently stumbled across the Aural Playground CD around
the same time the news flashed across your web sight. I was impressed
with "Equinox" and instantly recognized the sound bite for which the
song was named after. The sound bite being from a television program
broadcast in the eighties called Equinox. I am curious if you can
recommend to me a music source in the U.K. from which I could place
orders for Orbital CD's. I often have difficulty finding some of the
singles or non american release versions of Orbital. I for example
have tried in vein to obtain a copy of the non american release of
the "Green album". The japanese release of the Green album was available
from "CD Now" (Yahoo) for a short time but they sold out. I have just
about used up my available resources I have here in Northern California
area and the U.S. for that matter. If you have time to respond, my
E-mail address is Bill@mceinc.com I would enjoy hearing from you.
Thank you very much. Bill V Cronenberg

Comments: Steve i've never done this before so bear with me
if this is a little stilted... firstly i'd like to say that this is
a fantastic site, which means i am even able to satisfy my orbital
cravings at work. i don't know if you're interested in hearing about
the people who visit you (as it were). i used to live in birmingham
(i went to university there) and also used to go to oscillate. i've
had some great nights at the moseley dance centre! it sounds as though
we have a lot in common when it comes to taste in music. i am a big
fan of warp records, especially autechre (and another of their guises,
gescom) and other electronica - aphex, u-ziq, fsol, lfo, speedy j.
also like a lot of mute stuff - richie hawtin, pan sonic (saw them
on the roof of the south bank centre at the weekend). 'intelligent'
stuff does it for me, but over the years i have also become interested
in good old full-on techno. have had some amazing nights at the que
club getting it on with favourites such as surgeon, adam beyer, james
ruskin. the first orbital track i ever heard was halcyon and i've
never looked back. saw them a coupla times at glastonbury and they
blew my mind. in fact saw them at brixton academy a few weekends ago
and thought they were just as good as ever. i never knew electronic
music could be erotic until i encountered the brothers h. well, enough
of my rambling. just thought i had to make a connection - as a woman
in her mid twenties i find i encounter few people who understand,
let alone share, my allegedly 'weird' tastes. so - keep on keeping
on. Liz

Been listening to the new album track samples non-stop. It's gonna
be a battle trying to squeeze both Beaucoup Fish and Orbital into
the same CD player. We got some kickass tunes for the summer!
Does anyone in the US know where I could get those big white stick-on

put to advertise their car make but I want it for Orbital. Specifically,
I'm gonna slap the Orbital logo in GIANT letters on my rear

a lot more about the bros on this site than I have already read about
from print press. I'm looking forward to the new CD when it comes
out domestic in a month or so. Maybe I'll buy the import, I've already
spent $20+ on the two singles so a whole album will be worth the dough.
If Formula PR gets the Orbital account I'll probably get an interview
with one of the brothers. If so, then I'll notify you of the inclusion
of said interview on my site. Until then, enjoy Bret's Ramblings,
an interview with Moby will be up shortly. Feel free to tell your

Orbital in Glasgow a few weeks, (i have seen them about 8 times, and
it was good, not their best, but good. THen i bought the album,,,,,,,,,it
is terrible, really, really shitty. The first track is ok, but the
rest, well. It sounds like the kind of shite that was going about
when Orbital smashed onto the seen with the green album, now what.
I will be taking the album back, that is a fact. This however will
not deter frm the fact that as live act Orbital are still excellent.
The albums however have become too overproduced and complacent. This
is a sad day.

time - Brixton 27th March - with my 18 year old son (no more clues
to my age). Simply stunning. Having been raised in the Brian Eno 'ambient'
era (and I still listen to him a lot)where the soundscapes are great
to relax by, I have found the modern dance-orientated electronic music
a very refreshing alternative experience. Having bought all of the
Orbital albums (without prompting from my son!)I felt it was time
I took in a live set. And I am really glad I did! (although it took
two days for my hearing to recover fully). The message is: you are
never too old to enjoy Orbital. By the way, great site!

Comments: well, I must admit I'm impressed with the page. Stuff
like The Visit I haven't even heard of before. I got the sample mp3
and it's great - they should stick it on a future EP if its not on
the album. Oh and I hope the delayed album was an April fool? God
knows we waited long enough as it is. I couldnt believe how many samples
you have on your site, but do you have "behind the mask" which was
a cover they did of an eric clapton record. I found it on some compilation
album years ago. Anyway just a few questions if you ever get a chance
to ask or answer them. I went to the Brixton gig on Sunday and at
the end aparantly they played "Open Mind FA mix". But it sounded more
"Omen" with the 'I've seen the future' sample - it was really good
at the gig. I listened to your sample and it doesnt sound like the
track they played on the night. Are there any plans to stick this
on a future CD? And finally - I saw Orbital on their last tour and
they played a live version of "Choice", which in later literature
sent by Orbital information was supposed to feature on the Satan EP's
along with lush etc. But it didn't. It's awful that we hear all this
great stuff live but they never release it. Tell them to sort it out
:) Finally - Satan back in 1991 had 2 versions, the CD and twelve
inch which were 6 minutes odd long; but the cassette and 7 inch were
about 4 minutes. I love this version but my record is waring thin,
can you get this anywhere? Anyway, keep up the good work. byeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Comments: Went to the Glasgow gig. It was alright. Better than
a kick in the balls. I have seen Orbital about 8 times and for me
they used to do it even better. After 3 years they seem too predictable,
too comfy. They should have had Pan Sonic as support.

Comments: An absolutely splendid event occured in Exeter on
Sunday. Orbital kicked off their tour in grand 'Style' begining with
new tune 'Way Out' and playing a solid back to back set featuring
a string of great new tunes with loads of classics thrown in, turned
around, fucked about with, turned up to eleven, and thrown in my general
direction!!! The boys Hartnoll were having such a great time that
they totally ran out of time, and had to sacrifice the last three
or four tunes of their set(including the legendary Chime). But hey,
no one's perfect(and they very nearly were) so who cares. Go and see
them, you will not be dissapointed. See ya in Cambridge(Back stage
passes would be appreciated if you're reading this boys!!) lots of
love Mr Limmmer (of the Limmmers)

me like a shockwave, in college early '90's. Anyone else feel that
the brothers are the only true "modern classical musicians?" Anyway,
anxiously await the release of the latest, they always seem to find
a way to top their previous releases, eh? My fourth time seeing them
live cannot be too soon, as no one else has ever, or will ever, communicate
the emotion of life to an audience the way P & P can.....Glad I've
finally found a great site to pay homage to the only act to have changed
my life and views of music on so profoundly as the Beatles did at
age 4...Hope the next Atlanta show will be at a venue like the Fox,
as opposed to the morose Masquerade...

Tampa,FL. It was the best show I've ever been to. I've been a big
fan ever since then. I wish they would come back! I would definitely
be there. Much props on the site man. Y'all take it easy and keep
the music alive.

Comments: Another track to add to the compilations listing:
Aural Playground - track 11
Orbital - "Equinox" - (5:23)
Equinox is a brilliant remix of Times Fly and has a bit more of a
moody feel and includes what I can only describe as more industrial-style
sounds.
btw - the rest of the album doesn't suck.

all over the place including, munich airport terminal 1, pink pop
in holland and all over the UK, i have just been lucky and been in
the right place at the right time to see them. the best moment however
was pheonix main stage in daylight, after a bunch of very deep moments
losing the plot watching them in darkness, seeing them in daylight
and realising more about them was about as much as I could take that
day, and my wife and I retired to the bus straight after the set.
Good job gents, long may these moments continue

a discussion group or something. Orbital are one of the greatest beat
combos ever, and it is a shame that more people do not realise this.
To be honest however I kind of prefer it this way, its almost like
a special club that only allows in certain members who "get it..".
However if listening to the likes of Oasis and Embrace makes people
feel as good as listening to Orbital, are any of us in a postion to
criticise? Keep up the good work

Comments: hey, i love the group but im getting some conflicting
messages from CDNOW and AMAZON about Snivilization re: what "Are We
Here" actually sounds like. On this site, theres a different version
thru RA than on the two mentioned above. I want the one youve got,
so i want to make sure. Also, any chance there are any copies of the
limited release of Sniv that i could get my hands on. Actually, any
purchasing info would be great. I hate Sam Goody.

rule. N e wayz, I want to get some musical hang-ups of my chest: a)Why
do people like Oasis?? Their SHITE! Noel Gallacher is the lowest form
of human being you can get. He's a 'beer boy' and so is his bent brother
Liam. Noel is fucking terrible on his guitar and Liam can't sing worth
a fuck! If we all smoked dope and listened to Orbital the world would
be a better place! b)The single SATAN rules! c)So does Halcyon (the
vid is cool too!) d)Oh and Impact e)and also The Box f)not to forget
Out There Somwhere g)Oh shit and Forever h)and like all the rest of
their compositions! i)why can't more people appreciate decent music
instead of listening to pop shite like The Back Street Buttheads and
The revolting Spice Whoars. j)I think I've said my peace........for
now!!!

are a credible band as they are without entering the poxy british
charts, all I can say about most of the music in the charts is that
its a load of comercial mind numbing crap.Anyway orbital did get in
the charts in April 1990 with "CHIME" entering at number 17 I think.

but I haven't been able to access that one for some time, so this
site has to do at the moment. The download samples are superb, but
not keen on the adverts, especially all the bootleg stuff - isn't
that illegal?. I've been listening to Orbital since the days of 'the
BOX' EP, but my biggest moan is that they don't get into any decent
charts, for example the British charts - when was the last time they
got into the top 10? To get any real credibilty they need to get more
record sales... what do you think loops.

Comments: Great site. Have only just got into Orbital. Can
anyone please answer the following 2 questions? 1) Have recently bought
what I thought to be In-Sides as it had 2 versions of "The Box" plus
"The Saint", However it is not In-Sides. It contains 11 tracks, lasting
77m. 55s. the 1st track being "The Moebious". Have looked at various
discography sites and cannot find this album(the closest is Orbital
catalogue No. 1001 but "The Moebious" is the 2nd track and there are
only 10 tracks. Won't change it though as it is a superb album (especially
track 10). Other markings on the C.D. are :- 1991 - Internal 8282482/TRUCD9
LC7654 PY900 BIEM/MCPS DDD Can anyone identify this album and give
a track listing. 2) Caught the (I believe to be the last but one)
Glastonbury Festival - the really wet one. There was an Techno band
on where the stage was completely blacked out and the Keyboard player
had a "head-light" on his forehead(the sort of light worn by pot-holers).
Also one of the other bands on was "Nine Inch Nails", where rain was
absolutely pissing down onto the stage, who incidentally I find to
be a great band. Anyway was the aforementioned band "Orbital"? Incididentally
I'm a 47 year old wrinkly who when asked what my musical preferences
are, reply "Anything played by John Peel is O.K. by me".
