What Are You Listening To Now?

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

I am currently listening to Shadows by Orbital. I have listened to it almost continuously for the last twenty four hours, and for me it is the best track of theirs ever.

Time to revive an old favourite thread?

Currently listening to the new Pet Shop Boys album "Electric".

Fantastic electronic dance pop. Incredible sounds, samples and synths throughout and "Shouting In The Evening" is awesome.

Check it out.

Atoms for Peace - Amok.

Who would have thought that Thom Yorke, Flea, Michael Godrich and Joey Waronker (Beck/REM) would make such awesome music together.

Album of the year contender for me.
I don't know you people...why are you here?

Always hits the spot!!! Any word on new Lackluster material?
Well, I just put out "Lexicon of Goods" and "Moments" last year. ( http://lackluster.bandcamp.com/album/lexicon-of-goods & http://lackluster.bandcamp.com/album/moments )

But if you just want a dose of ye olde, grab onto http://lackluster.org/youtube - there's a massive playlist there for all albums currently on YouTube, and also album-specific playlists.

Been caning the new Depeche Mode album since I got my grubby hands on it last week. Probably the best release of the post Wilder era. However, also been giving the Scandroid album heavy rotation and the latest from Blanck Mass, deadmau5 (the restrospective) and Mike Oldfiield too.

Currently listening to: Blanck Mass - Rhesus Negative
"Gimme the sight to see
another world outside that's full of
all the broken things that I made"

Bayonne is my favorite new artist. I've been listening to a lot of his stuff lately. I caught him live a few times too & really enjoyed it. Very loop heavy with lush layers & some live drums.

This is from one of the shows I was at.

The new Simian album, but it's pretty boring. And I don't like the choir on it.
