Boards of Canada

The Music Discussion forum has replaced the old Lyrics and Samples forum and the Live Scene and Music Reviews forum. This forum is used to discuss anything relating to Music including Orbital topics, the live scene including Orbital gigs past, present and future. This section is an ideal place to post your live gigs reviews and album / single reviews. This forum can also be used to discuss Orbital lyrics and samples. The website will never disclose or confirm samples for legal reasons - so this is the next best thing.

Boards of Canada

Post by trompurple »

from WARP

We are extremely proud to announce that Boards of Canada have finished and mastered their new album, to be released in October - their first release since 2002's Geogaddi! The album is very much classic Boards, building on themes and sounds that can can be heard in their intervening remix work for Beck, cLOUDDEAD and Boom Bip.

I'm hoping they carry on with the direction they were following, as Twoism is my least favourite, and Geogaddi my favourite. So fingers crossed this'll be the best so far.

every time i hear that an album is going towards a more classic sound for a band i'm very skeptical.. however, geogaddi was pretty good and music has the right was excellent, so either way it will likely be enjoyable..
