Re: What Are You Listening To Now?
I've actually been listening to Plastic Beach (Gorillaz) quite a bit and I take back what I said previously. I like it now.
I seem to be going through a SFA phase at the moment and I also strangely quite like the new To Roccocco Rot album, it sounds a bit like Tortoise or other avant garde intrumentalists, but not as technically proficient.
It does sound very amateurish but that seems to add to its charm.

Re: What Are You Listening To Now?
uh, gah, ouh, this is propably the worst Orbital track ever made in my opinion, and when it was out i hated it, i hated them and all. but now after the years i cant say its that bad, i even like it i did like it even before in some strange way, but i always felt uneasy when listening to it. that strange disco sound..tcb2000 wrote:Funny Break - Weekend Raver's mix. still love this!

Flying Lotus - Cosmogramma
Jazz infused cutup warpy weirdness, touches of Squarepusher/Venetian Snares. Very nice, especially like the Thom Yorke collaboration.
Funki Porcini - On
Great, jazzy tinged too, but less hectic than the Lotus, for listening to when in the horizontal position.
Been playing Fourtet/Bonobo/Gorillaz non stop for the past few weeks...

It's 106 miles to Chicago.
We got a full tank of gas,
half a pack of cigarettes.
It's dark and we are wearing sunglasses
